14-ish bay Arabian mare, blinded in one eye. It appears she's NOT so blind as was first thought, she sees movement. This poor beautiful lady needs 300 pounds on her.  And today was the FIRST time she has seen daylight in that month, turned her out in the big lot while we cleaned her stall. She was calm, had a nice amble checking things out. And boy is she sucking up the water! Pretty dehydrated when she came in last night!

Papers dropped by the last owner. He didn' want to spend the money. Been his backyard pet since she was 2, never broke to ride. Sweet natured girl, not at all hard to deal with as long as you consider her loss of sight in one eye, and handle her accordingly. Very trusting girl.

Has finally got an appetite, and cleaning up her feed.

As you can see from the above picture, she has put on groceries nicely!  And even with a cropped tail, she is a beauty!

Pearl 500!

Meet Pearl(2), a 20 something TWH in serious need of groceries. Sound to ride as soon as she gets some padding back. Sound, gaited and broke to ride. Really nice flatwalk when she wants to! Got plenty of energy these days too, for an older lady!

Pearl needed separated from the other horses so she could get enough to eat.

Owner could no longer afford to feed her.

That ol girl seems to be a real sweetheart to deal with, very mannerly and calm. Once she looks like a whole horse again, she should be something!  She's really a sweet well behaved lady. It's kinda cute to watch her get all excited over several good meals a day. Makes it all worth it.

$500

Feather when she came to the rescue

Feather

She is about 16 years old, navicular in both front feet. Lightly rideable if her feet are kept up and her supplements regular. Kid broke and friendly, used to belong to a young girl. She would be a good candidate for nerving, if we had a vet around here capable of doing it.  She is the dam to The Wiz.  She is READY FOR ADOPTION!

Junior is doing great.  His deafness does not affect him at all.  If anything, he's LESS spooky than the rest of the horses.

Junior is doing great!  Put him out to eat grass (above) and he just kinda stood around.  Wasn't sure what to do!
